what a day

This post is mainly for me to look back on and laugh one day. one day. :)

Our day started off pretty normal. Tyler was getting ready for work and Connor ran in to go potty. Connor's been wanting to do his bathroom business all by himself lately and so I reminded him to push all necessary body parts into the potty and he went on his way. As I'm making Tyler's lunch I hear "ahh mommy!". Tyler goes in and he says, "looks like we have a mess to clean up in here." I say please just wipe everything up the best you can and I'll mop the floor and clean the bathroom today. Tyler goes off to work...

About an hour or two later I get a skype message from Tyler saying that he had a bloody nose and got a little blood on his shirt and asked if I would mind bringing him a new shirt. I start getting ready and Connor comes into the bathroom which connects to my bedroom and he is COVERED in blood. Hands, face, legs, feet, everywhere. Apparently he'd been picking his nose and gave himself a bloody nose. gross. Then I start thinking he walked all the way here from the front room, oh great! I walk down the hall and to my front room and blood is all over my carpet. I go for the carpet cleaner and it's gone! grab my oxy clean laundry stain remover and start going to town with a rag and cold water on my carpet while connor is holding a tissue to his nose. (By the way that stuff removed everything from my carpet!) Meanwhile, I leave Kami out watching mickey mouse in hopes I can get this all done fast. I then put Connor in the shower clean him up, get him dressed, etc..

I walk out to the front room to check on Kam and what did I find? A DIAPER LESS Kamree. That didn't surprise me too much because she is constantly ripping her clothes/ diaper off. What I wasn't expecting was for her diaper to have poop in it! So I get the blood cleaned up and now I have POOP everywhere mostly just on Kami thankfully.
Then we start Bath #2, start spraying lysol, put baby in bath, get her out and dressed, hair done.
Then I remember the bathroom mess from earlier and remember I need to clean the bathroom and mop floors. Go to get my floor cleaner, of course I'm out of it! I plan to go get cleaner from the store when Tyler gets home since now it's naptime and decided to just do laundry and clean/organize the kids toys until I can get to the store at 4:30. Tyler calls at 4 and says he'll be home late tonight. So we haven't made it to the store yet.
I started thinking I wanted to write this day down because it's days like these that I will always remember about my kids being little. Sure it's not fun cleaning up disgusting messes but thanks to today I will always remember Connor's excitement when he would say "look mommy, I go potty all by myself!" even if he made a huge mess and how funny Kamree is when she dances around and giggles once she gets her diaper off because she knows she's not supposed to do it. I could do without the messes but this is my job and I love these babies!

*note to self- BUY KAMREE ONESIES so she can't remove her diaper! -my mom even called me and told me where there were onesies that were her size, I just need to get to the store. I'll buy them when I get that floor cleaner! :)
