St. George

Last month Tyler and I decided we needed a short and close-by vacation. We decided to go to St. George this weekend. We had so much fun just being together as a family.
Connor was all ready to go on Friday. We started packing our suitcase and he found his little backpack all on his own.
He put Mr. Bear (his teddy bear) in it, zipped it up and brought it to me to help him put it on his back. He also packed him all up by himself when we we're getting ready to come home. So smart!

We were nervous how Connor would do on the car ride. He's never been a good traveler. He did so well!! No crying at all! He watched Robin Hood on the way down, Looked out the window for a few hours and slept for the last hour. On the way home, he didn't do anything but look out the window and sleep. Connor thought the Krispy Kreme doughnuts were a great breakfast for the ride home. Hopefully this weekend he decided the car isn't so bad after all!

Tyler's company has a property in St. George with a corporate suite. Employees as well as their family and friends are able to stay there for a good price. It's called 'The Falls at Mesa Point.' Tyler and I were noticing all the things that this property has that Carrington doesn't. Carrington was the very first property that bach corp. started and Mesa Pointe is one of the more recent properties. We decided it's good to know that the company has come such a long way and that they are doing so well.
sorry, this pictures is kind of tacky looking. I took it from the car. The property is gorgeous!

We did quite a bit of swimming. This little baby float was the best $4 ever spent. It had a little strap system on the bottom so Connor could go swim without us holding on to him the whole. time. Since the last time we were at the falls (almost 3 years ago) they made a new kiddie pool with water buckets. It was such a fun place to be!

We enjoyed playing in the soft, warm sand even though Connor had a small injury. (he got his mom's clumsy genes!) I was worried about Connor going down massive slides by himself and Tyler was worried about him falling through the railing while climbing the stairs up to the playground. Tyler's fear proved to be more logical when Connor fell right through and down to the sand. He has a nice bruise on his cheek that he brought back as a souvineer. (note--the big huge slides I was afraid of are not in this picture they're on the other side of the playground.)

Connor was done with the playground after he fell...

We took a drive on Saturday night to look at the pretty St. George scenery.

It was such a relaxing weekend. It was just what we needed before the craziness of having a new baby comes. With my friend Steph having her baby last week and my sister in law, Robin having her c-section set for next month, I'm realizing how close it is to being my turn to have our baby. (should be less than 13 weeks, eek!) it was nice to forget my anxieties about labor/adjusting after the baby, and enjoy being a family of three before we get to start enjoying being a family of FOUR!
