Now that summer is coming to a close and life isn't so crazy i've been trying to find some things to do. With all the hype about the twilight series I decided to start it but go in a wacky order since the library is always out of them. I just started "New Moon" yesterday. It's the second book in the series so hopefully I can find the first one so I can read it before I start the third...So far it has been very entertaining. I laughed out loud when at a fairly serious part when Belle gets a paper cut and she realizes that she's with "six suddenly ravenous vampires." I don't know why I found that funny but it still makes me chuckle.
For some reason when Fall comes around I get into a crafty mood. I am in no way naturally crafty but I do enjoy the finished product. I hate leaving a project unfinished. So this is what i decided to start doing last night at 10:00 when Connor was sleeping and Tyler was doing his homework. I was actually pretty happy with how it turned out. I was so excited to have it done that I stole Connor's blanket and wrapped him in this one last night. It's a very simple blanket but i've never had one turn out so well on the edges to where I was actually competely happy with it. My mom always told me that one day I would be happy that I knew how to sew and I always told her I never liked to do it. ( man, was I a grouchy little teenager when it came to sewing projects! sorry Mom! ) I am happy that i know the basics because it is actually fun for me. I think I might tackle some pj pants next or maybe figure out how to make some hooded towels. You can't ever have enough of those!

Thanks Robin! I am no where near craft but thank you for the compliment. Yes, the park was way fun! I love watching maddy eat her icecream. She's so darn cute with her little cone! :)
